The charities unique skills in education were recognised by the local authorities and they were asked to expand their innovative provision to support students who were at risk of being excluded due to emotional ill health, social isolation, and behavioural challenges.
Due to their continuing success, in 2002 Bridge Training Ltd was formed to focus on providing alternative education allowing Bridge Training resources (the charity) to concentrate on providing additional support and its original objectives to engage with and support individuals in Gloucestershire who are currently dealing with circumstances that are potentially causing barriers to work and move these people closer towards education, training, volunteering or work.
Bridge Training has always chosen to be integral to the community they serve and the charity has expanded their outreach programme, encouraging students to utilise their new skills in being active members of their communities
